How could an economist & MBA solve what hundreds of doctors couldn't?

For almost 3 decades, I've conducted cohort survival analysis in institutional research—analyzing college student persistence to graduation at two large private universities in the United States. This methodology mirrors the approach used by epidemiologists to tackle significant health issues, such as understanding Long Covid, also known as Post-Acute Sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC), and its impact on autoimmune conditions. 

The process involves: 

✅ Tracking populations over time 

✅ Identifying who succeeds versus who fails 

✅ Finding patterns in risk factors, including those related to COVID19 

✅ Determining which interventions improve outcomes 

✅ Integrating multiple data streams 

✅ Testing hypotheses with statistical rigor.

Here's the Key

I wasn't just studying the cohort from the outside; I WAS one of the cohort. The Result: Doctors see individual patients in 15-minute appointments, often overlooking the complexities of autoimmune conditions. I spent 3 years tracking thousands of data points across my own disease progression, particularly in relation to COVID19 and Long Covid, using the same cohort survival methodology I've applied for almost 30 years. Same skills, different population. Voila: Palladino Theory, aiding in Understanding Long Covid and PASC.
